Drawing Footballers

One of the reasons I wanted to do a project about football players was because of the beautiful hand shapes that happen while they are in action. Since I have been drawing them I have also begun to notice the way their feet connect with the ground - very firmly planted on the ground.

I think you should continue to do more of these the detail with the pen is very effective I was doing one with Zlatan Ibrahimovic he's a good character to draw!

Thank you so much for your comment on my website blog. I am sorry I haven't replied sooner.
I am planning to do more football player drawings and I will try Ibrahimovic for sure. It's true that there are many great characters to draw in football - not just the interesting body stances, but the faces that are full of personality too.

I have folders where I keep cut-out photos from newspapers of football players so that I can copy from them.
